CLOSED Nov. 20, 2012: “A Wound in Time”

“A Wound In Time” was first produced and directed by Stephanie Lynn Wilson at the legendary Nuyorican Poets Cafe in 2010. By popular demand she is bringing it back with a new cast, but for one original member for a limited run at St Lukes Theatre. It opened at St Lukes on October 30, 2012 and closed November 20, 2012

About the play: ” Pressured by a suspicious mother, a strange bedfellow, and an amorous co-worker cardiac nurse Negra Centron battles to keep a childhood secret from unraveling while the protective African gods of Santeria seek justice! Magic, ritual, and destiny, are the engines driving this gripping mystery thriller which tackles social issues in the true sense of theatre.”

A judge from the 2011 New York Innovative Theatre Awards said of the original production: “It was a wonderful evening of theatre and I’m delighted I had a chance to see it. I was especially glad to see such well written and well acted women on stage. The story was compelling, complex, and funny and the characters rich. This was a long show, 2 hours and 20 minutes. It’s hard to hold an audience for that long, but they did. ” ( CLOSED)
